We will start with a strategy consultation where I'll take the time to discuss all of your photography needs. What do you want to communicate through your images? How do you want to be perceived? I'll teach you how to prepare for your session, and one of my award-winning makeup artists will highlight your best feautures so you'll look amazing for your session. Most importantly, I'll put you at ease while you're in front of my camera. You can trust that not only will you receive a stellar final product, but you will feel relaxed, comfortable, and may even have a little fun.

"Do I really need a professional portrait?" If you are in business, the answer is an emphatic, "Yes!" Potential customers make snap judgements based not only on your website's appearance, but on your appearance. Do you look confident, professional, and approachable? People who are about to invest a lot of time and money into your product want to see the face of who they will work with, and a strong and professional photograph is key. It's a friendly first way to show tentative customers and clients that you are someone who took the time to look your best, and will take that same kind of time to do your best for them.

A poor photograph could be overcome with an upbeat personality or good business skills, but online competition may not allow time to get beyond a first impression. Make the most of that first click by having you yourself featured on your business page, and people will want to know more and stay a while longer.

You aren't one demential, and your professional portraits shouldn't be either. If you have your own business, consider a personal branding session where you'll receive multiple portraits of yourself in various settings showcasing you, your business, and your services. I'll make sure to bring out the best in you, and find the looks that will make your potential customers want to work with you.

How long does the session take?

Depending on the type of session you book, the session will take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours.

How much editing and retouching will you do to my portraits?

Each photograph goes through my signature editing process, which includes blemish removal, skin softening, teeth brightening, and any other edit that I feel is needed. I'll shoot the image correctly in-camera, and I always strive to edit the images so they look natural instead of over-processed with trendy filters or other distracting modifications. You will look like the best version of yourself!

Do you have any clothing I can wear?

Yes.  I have many designer gowns as well as simple dresses for women who want a more glamourous, Vanity Fair style shoot. I also have a collection of clothing for children and babies in natural fabrics and neutral tones.

What if I need to lose 20 pounds? I am not sure I’m ready for a portrait yet.

When asked this question, I often tease my clients and say, "I can take care of 20 lbs with lighting and good posing."  I have studied these subjects for 14 years. I know how to position bodies in the most flattering ways, and in the perfect light. I will pose you down to the last fingertip. I will be with you and talk you through the entire session.

Do not wait to be photographed. I feel so strongly about this, and it's especially true when it comes to portraits with family members. Exist in photographs with those you love now! One day they will become the most prized possessions you own.

What if I am not photogenic?

There is no such thing as being photogenic. It's my job to make you look and feel relaxed in front of the camera, and draw natural expressions from you. You don't have to do a thing, but please feel free to  talk with me about any concerns you have.

Do you use a hair and makeup artist?

Yes. I have an award-winning team of hair and makeup artists who will make you look and feel amazing. This takes place at my studio one hour prior to our session or can happen in your home if we are shooting on-location.

This service is automatically included with all of my portrait sessions.

Can I bring anyone along to my session?

Yes! I'd love to talk to you about adding family members to your session. I do not charge more for additional people. I am very passionate about family portraits, and believe that everyone needs them in their home. I believe mothers and fathers need to come out from behind the camera and be photographed individually as well as in families because one day your children are going to come looking for photos of you. What will they find?

Do I get the digital files?

Yes. Anything you purchase from me comes in both digital and printed form. Because I am a legacy brand, I believe in tangible products that can be enjoyed now and in the future.
